Jesse Duran and Jorge Rivera came to my house for follow up on water mitigation and stood out as the most professional and thorough crew that had to do additional mitigation work.They cleaned the entire work space, which included vacuuming, washing and than mopping of all areas the worked/walked on. Jesse provided clear and concise answers to all of my questions/concerns.

Also, our mitigation project manager Connor McElfresh has been incredible throughout this entire process. He has answered all of my calls and proactively provided updates around all the steps/action items to ensure we understand the process from end-to-end. Ive used CWF restoration in the past for my home and using them again for my parent’s home but never worked with Shondell and William, however they were professional and courteous just like everyone I have worked with before. The response time for this company was superb. Called them and same day a rep (Connor) came and assessed the situation. I noticed a brown discoloration on my ceiling and suspected a roof leak, so I called CWF Restoration for help. They scheduled a free inspection the very next day! Victor arrived on time, was incredibly personable, and thoroughly inspected the area. He assured me there was no water present, so no repairs were needed. Not only did he not charge me, but he also recommended a reliable roofer to check things out in the spring in case of a small drip. He even took the extra time to check my shower pan, which my neighbors had issues with, but thankfully mine was fine. Fast, professional, and gave me peace of mind—all at no cost. Highly recommend!

After water damage in my condo , my plumber recommended CWAF. Their office called me to set up a free estimate. The project manager Nate came out within a short period of time and performed an inspection and documented the damages while explaining the process of the cleanup. We had a crew out the next morning and they did the photos and proceeded to get the cleanup started. They took out the soaked carpeting, padding , baseboards, drywall etc. They bagged all the materials and disposed of such. Then brought in the numerous blowers , air scrubber, dehumidifier. The team was the best when we had a sewage mess in the basement. Mike Taylor was recommended by our plumber from ABC, he was so quick and thorough with information of how he could help us. He explained all our options and really made us comfortable working with the company to help fix our issue. Even the crew, Keithan Bond and Andre Parker, who placed and picked up the equipment were so kind and careful with the pickup. They made sure the job was completed and equipment was removed safely so my house had no dings on the wall. Amazing people we dealt with and so happy with the service after the stressful sewage situation we had in the basement. 100% would recommend!

Frankie & Jordan were awesome! I had a pipe that busted in a wall and damaged the inside of 3 walls. They came out, cleaned and explained everything thru the entire process. They are definitely masters at cleaning and sanitizing. I was amazed at the difference the area between the walls looked before they set up all the equipment to dry it out. Extremely pleased with the entire process. Hopefully will never need CFW again but definitely will recommend and keep their number in case I ever need it again.

Starting with Victor, then Angelo and Deonte Outstanding. When you have water damage to your home, it’s an absolutely terrible experience. These gentlemen made it bearable. Alex T was the project manager who coordinated the cleaning up of the main line sewer break at my house. He came out at 1:30 on the morning to assess the job and sent a great crew -Ramiro N, Jesse D and William C. They worked several hours to clean up, haul away contaminated items and sanitize my home. We had a GREAT experience with Chicago Water & Fire. When we called about our water damage, someone came out within 90 minutes (maybe less) to get the process started. They communicated very well throughout the process. Most of the time, I got a live person when I called but, if I needed to leave a voicemail, they returned the call promptly. They worked with our insurance which saved me a lot of hassle, working to get a reasonable settlement from insurance that returned things to the pre-water damage state. The crews (one for remediation, one for restoration) showed up when they said they would and worked professionally. They cleaned everything up and went above and beyond. Work was completed to my full satisfaction. Highly recommend.

The customer service and professionalism of this company is incredible. Calling to make the appointment was quick and easy. The scheduler asked all the right answers and did it with care. I called and a technician was at my door in two hours. I didn’t even have an emergency and told her to schedule me whenever they could fit me in. I can only imagine how quick it would be if it was an emergency repair. Once they arrived, the technician Jake and Victor were great! Professional, thorough, and personable. Thankfully, the gave me great news in that it was not a water leak. But they still double checked to make sure there were no issues. I’ve already recommended them to two of my neighbors. Jerry and Tommy did a solid job. Had to remove part of my shower and wall due to water leakage and some mold. They came on short notice. Had great communication, were quick, and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Nate and Tim did great scoping out the job beforehand and recognizing what needed to be done.

We had a hidden water leak that caused damage to four rooms in our home. Our water mitigation crew did an outstanding job, were very courteous and professional; kept the work area clean; and made certain we were well educated on the process. The techs were Mathew R and Zachary F. The have our thanks and highest recommendation.

I had a major mold issue in my kitchen, but couldn't determine where it was coming from. I called CWFR and they sent Eric M, project manager out quickly to asses the situation. He gave me an estimate right away and explained that he would work with my insurance company since I had coverage for such an event.
I scheduled a remediation team to come a couple of days later and the problem was worse than expected, but Jesse D and Ramiro N worked incredibly hard to remove my cabinets and drywall, explaining everything as they pulled everything out.
All 3 representatives of this company were professional, courteous, mindful and positive to work with. Under such stressful times it's important to deal with the best. I plan to contract the restoration with them because I feel it will turn out perfectly.

Water heater tank cracked leaked many gallons of water onto ground floor family room carpeted floor and baseboards. .
Fast response - on-site within 2 hours of initial contact. Project manager (Eric) was knowledgeable and equipped with hi-tech gear for determining the level of water damage. Remediation crew (Kaylin & Marques) arrive mid-afternoon and got directly to work using the info provided by the project manager. They quickly relocated all the furniture to the garage and completed the initial remediation work within 90 minutes. Both were very courteous and made sure we understood the work that had been completed and what to expect going forward.

My team of Nate, Kaylin and Marques provided impeccable service when we found out that we had a leak in our wall. Nate was the primary person that I spoke with - it was for our rental unit and we live out of state. Nate sent me tons of pictures of the damage, took all the time in the world to explain to me what was happening and how he was remedying. Edgar and Edgar (yep, they make it easy to remember their names!) came out when we had water damage from a leaking pipe. They were super patient (the plumbers were still fixing the pipe when they arrived) and waited an hour. Then they were very neat and clean and did a great job setting up all the fans and dehumidifiers. I would definitely recommend them again!

I had damage to my ceiling caused by a water leak from my upstairs neighbor’s apartment. Chicago Water and Fire helped me through the hurdles of drying out the moisture, preventing mold, and navigating the insurance claim. They sent someone out immediately to assess the damage, and sent a crew a couple of hours later start the process, all on the same day I called. I worked with Yuri of the mitigation department, and Stephanie of the restoration department, and both were very responsive and helpful anytime I had questions. I highly recommend this company.

My sump pump failed and my basement flooded a few days ago and my plumber recommended CWF for assistance to clean up the water damage. Alex Tracy arrived at my house the same day I called and he was very professional, took the time to listen to my concerns about what happened to my basement and provided professional feedback on next steps. They did a good job cleaning my crawlspace that had been soiled with some sewage backup from broken pipes. Raul was friendly and articulate. I appreciated the info and feedback he gave me about what was going on down there. His coworker (I forget his name) was very helpful as well.

I have previously used this company for a large project that went over very smoothly and now I called them out for a second time with another unrelated issue and they provided fantastic service once again. Their initial estimate team of Nathan Gomez and Kevin (unfortunately didn’t catch his last name) came in and were extremely easy to work with, professional, and friendly. Their work put our mind at ease about the upcoming project and we look forward to using this companies services yet again.

I am going to do this review in sections.

Alex came out and was very thorough on explaining everything and even showing me what the issue was and how they were going to mitigate it.

Alex was able to have a team come out the same day to clean up the mold in the crawl space and clean all the debris out and spray chemicals to kill whatever else was down there. They left a dehumidifier and so fans to help dry everything.

Another team came back 3 days later and they were awesome as well. The steam cleaned the concrete and screwed in a temporary but very secure sub floor.

Overall great experience and true professionalism all around.

I cannot say enough good things about Alex Tracy! Not only was he prompt, reliable, informative and to the point, he went above and beyond to help me navigate a situation I had never experienced. He was there as a constant throughout the entire process, helping me with insurance and mitigation and reconstruction, even if it wasn’t directly related to his department and services. A family member died at home and several days passed before the body was discovered. 3 different 1st responders advised that we would need a licensed bio hazard cleaning company to address the situation and all 3 recommended Chicago Water and Fire. Even though it was after 5 on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, a real person answered the phone and promised a call back within 10 minutes. Luke did call within 10 minutes and arrived at the house within an hour, assessed the situation, retrieved the insurance information and had his crew onsite by 9:00 am the next day.

It took the next 5 days for Luke and his crew to totally clean the affected areas and remove 90% or more of the odors. At every step, Luke kept me informed of the status of the work and advised us on what we could expect to be able to salvage of our furniture and personal effects. At all times he was courteous and professional, worked with my schedule, and was readily and easily available by phone or test.

The results exceeded my wildest expectations and conducted in a manner that ensured insurance would cover all costs. They even moved some equipment and people around to be out of sight so the funeral could process past the home.

I give Luke and his crew 5 stars plus and my strongest recommendation!

Manny & Jermaine did an outstanding job cleaning and sanitizing our basement after we had a broken sewer pipe repaired. They also removed an area rug, which they professionally handled with care.
The plumbing company opted not to protect our dressing closet. They did however, step up to have CWFR make us whole by cleaning up their mess. We are pleased 😀

I had the pleasure of working with Randy, who came over to help me assess a basement water leak/seepage issue. Randy is exceedingly pleasant and professional and quickly helped me identify the root cause of the problem, and laid out several options for remediation. He also gave me resources to address some of the issue myself to help me save some money.

Had a broken water heater and my whole basement flooded. The PM showed up on time and made arrangements. The crew that came within 5 hours and continued the work until next day was superb. Kaylin was the crew leader and he was fantastic. Good communicator, accurate projections. Finished removing carpet (large basement), demolishing part of drywall (where there was insulation), clean up the basement in less than 24 hours. Fans and humidifiers are drying off the basement now. Very professional.

Everyone at the company was professional and pleasant. There was a clear understanding of what the procedure was going to be to clean up my basement after a clogged pipe from the toilet caused sewage and waste to back up in my basement. When I called, they were able to have someone come out within an hour and a half to survey the damage. A crew was out the next day to start clean up. I had a very positive experience with CWF restoration. In the middle of the night, my sump pump failed and I woke up to 100’s of gallons of water in the basement of my new house. The previous owner had everything propped up on 4 x 4 wood blocks that just soaked up the water like a sponge. I went to the store and grabbed the utility pump and was able to get much of the water out but everything was soaking wet. I called CWF and Randy showed up later that same morning to survey the damage. He spoke with his manager Charlie and they sent a restoration technician
within a few hours. Nate showed up and got everything set up and running the same day. It started to dry out and feel a bit like Arizona in my basement.
I appreciate the promptness and professionalism of all three of these guys. They knew I was in big trouble and they went the extra mile to help me out. Thanks again!!

Chicago Water & Fire did an outstanding job of drying and restoring my floors after a pipe burst - I highly recommend hiring them! I'm so glad my plumber referred them. They came out right away to begin the drying process, and the mitigation manager, Brett, answered all my questions clearly, and gave me great advice regarding my insurance. The 2nd part - the restoration process - was a bit complicated because of my specific situation, and the restoration manager, Piotr, did a truly outstanding job of keeping me informed every step of the way, and hearing and resolving every one of my concerns calmly and patiently. Every single worker was courteous and professional, great at their job, and left my home clean. This is a great company and I am really happy I called them!

Had a 2nd floor bathroom leak and called these guys. I was surprised has fast they came out to estimqte and arranged dryer installation. AngeloT. and Dionte R. came over the next day and were polite, respectful of our home and very efficient.

We’ve had two floods in seven days. A pipe burst then six days later, our sump pump stopped working due to over exertion from the first flooding. Our project managers, Brayden and Kevin, acted quickly and were over in a short time to assess the damage and help us with insurance steps. They took the time to answer our questions, explain next steps and get a clean up crew to our house fast. Communication has been great as well as their professionalism. The clean up crew on both occasions worked for at least four plus hours getting rid of water, taking out drywall, baseboards and flooring as well as moving our belongings to a safer location in the house. They work hard and quickly to take care of what needs to be done. I highly recommend this company. I had some plumbing issues and CWF was recommended by my plumber. Upon my initial phone contact, Pedro was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He came out right away and access the situation. He explained everything in great detail. He helped me submit the claim to my insurance company, which was extremely helpful.
For the scheduled service Brandon and Michael came out to perform the service. They were AWESOME!!!!!!. Very professional, knowledgeable and polite. They explained in detail what they were doing, asked if i had any questions and answered all questions. they made me feel really comfortable and they were so easy to talk to. I dont usually find this with a lot of contractors. They cleaned up really well before they left and made sure it was to my specification as i have a disability and they were very empathetic to my needs.

CWF was recommended to us by our plumber when we had leaking from the condo bathroom upstairs into ours. They were very quick to return our calls and set up an assessment. CWF responded to my emergency within two hours, determined their scope of work based on the severe flooding that occurred in my house, assembled a crew, and had the wet drywall and carpet removed with fans drying the space by midnight of the same day. I'm very grateful for their hard work, urgency, and dedication. They were incredibly nice and professional. The technician that did the mitigation work was so professional in every way. I needed a team asap and from the start everyone I spoke with and have worked with has been responsive, supportive and highly professional. Nate came out first to inspect and evaluate - so friendly, kind and knowledgeable; answered all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The remediation team of Keith and Brandon were incredibly hardworking, polite, efficient and thorough - they literally worked all day/evening to get the job done. Demo can be messy and they respected my whole home by being careful about the work at hand and all the cleanup. They offered to assist with removal of items beyond the scope of the work and were attentive to my questions/concerns along the way. It was wonderful to be in such good hands during a stressful time. Can’t express enough how wonderful our experiences with CWAFR has been. Our PM Piotr K. Made us feel at ease during our reconstruction project. He maintained contact, was happily available to answer questions when we needed and was patient, helpful and efficient with the minor issues that occurred. His leadership and communication to the construction crew relieved our fears of delay and he was an overall positive person to work with.

I’m especially grateful for our Content Crew chief Louie A and his crew, for handling our delays with positive attitudes and overall a wonderful group to work alongside. They were so great during a really stressful moment. A pipe burst leaving us with an inch of water in our basement. So many people were in the same predicament. When I called another company it would have been 2+ weeks before they could come. I spoke with Adriana and she had Jacob evaluating the damage that same day (Friday). Jose and his remediation team were in on Tuesday with a ton of equipment to dry out the walls, floors and ceilings. As promised, Edgar and his team came right on time on Saturday to evaluate for dryness and removed all of the equipment. Everyone was so nice, on time, and very sympathetic. I recommend this company at every turn. I'm sure they're going to do just as amazingly in the reconstruction part.

CWFR was at my house within 90 minutes on a Sunday evening to evaluate the damage in my kitchen. By Friday they had workers on the project. Manny, Ariel, and Raymond did an excellent job with the demo. They were very efficient. I felt comfortable with them in the home and with the job they were doing.

My neighbor's plumbing started to come through my ceiling, so I was in a panic and completely unsure of what to do next, what to document, what was dangerous, etc. and at the recommendation of my plumber from Morning Noon Night, I called Chicago Fire & Water Restoration and they were immediately on the way to assess the damages, start the restoration process using their high-tech 3-D modeling scanners, mitigation of the damage with insurances, and so much more. It felt like I had someone else on my side fighting to get my life back to normal.

Dionte and Eduardo helped set up a drying system throughout our unit after we had leaks from the unit above. They were respectful, efficient and clean throughout the entire process. The Chicago Water & Fire Restoration Team did an outstanding job with my bathroom floor mitigation and restoration after a leak which had traveled all the way from my upstairs bathroom to my downstairs kitchen. Casey M. and Louis V. installed new travertine tile in the bathroom and painted the bathroom, which looks amazing. I was really impressed with the work and attention to detail that Casey and Louis put into the job. They, along with the rest of the CWAFR team members also did a great job fixing the drywall and painting the ceiling in our kitchen/living room/hallway.

Piotr K was the project manager, and he did a great job as well. Piotr was extremely straightforward, polite, and courteous, and came to check-in each day.

Brett was able to schedule a crew (in this case 2), for after Christmas. Their “crew” arrived at our home (on time) and started right to work. Ripped out a majority of the master bathroom floor, toilet and vanity. Had a second crew working on the family room walls and ceiling, just below the bath, and finally to the garage ceiling. Six guys on-site most of the day. They took care of the areas that needed attention and installed heaters for the ceilings, giant industrial HEPA filter to “scrub” the air and remove and airborne particles and contaminants. The clean up was very good and the on-site crew chief, Luis, had excellent communication skills and kept us informed throughout the process. You never want this to happen, and we have a long way to go before we are back in business, but Chicago Fire and Water did a great job handling the first steps. Thank you!

Travis and Paul did a great job! They explained everything they were going to do, before they did it. Great attitude, answered all questions. I enjoyed talking to Paul in particular.

The big key was communication: I was able to successfully coordinate what time each day the project should start to ensure timely completion. Initially, it was an estimated a 2 day project, but turned out to be a 3 day project. Paul did mention an additional walk-through, before starting, the project might have been able to allow him to complete the project in 2 days instead of 3 days.

Not withstanding, the quality of work between the painting, laying down new trim, and laying down new tile, in addition to Travis procuring a new tile design I really liked ahead of time was of such a quality that it more than outweighed the additional day of work required.

We’ve had two basement floods in less than a year and the team over at Chicago Water & Fire Restoration made difficult situations as palpable as possible. Colin was spectacular! I gave the scheduler a specific time, however, they called to tell me Colin was at my house which turned out to be 1 hour earlier that I anticipated. Unfortunately this is the third time we’ve had to use CWF but we’ve had a good experience every time. They are expensive but do a good job. I have to say this was my best experience yet and felt really good with Collin leading the way. Ramiro and Christian were awesome and took their time with the flooring and cleaning. Hopefully I’m done for a while in terms of needing their mitigation services but if I do will not hesitate to call.

Great service! We used them when a toilet and shower leaked in to two rooms below. The team was great with communication and timely for arrivals. The work looks great and they were meticulous about making sure everything around the area stayed clean and in place. Highly recommend using them!

The unit above mine started leaking and damaged the drywall throughout the ceiling of my condo. The plumber that fixed the issue recommended CW&FR. They came to my place at 1030 pm to provide an estimate and then scheduled water mitigation the following morning. The crew that came over was friendly and efficient. I called CWF Restoration and within 1 hour Avery was at my door to assess the water cleanup needed in my crawlspace. He was able to have a team at my home in less than1.5 hours, and it was not even an emergency situation. I am unable to enter the crawlspace so I have to depend on others to take care of any issues. I am so please with this company and the service. They assessed my issue and came up with a solution in less than 24 hours. Repairs were done in a professional and timely manner. Thus far. They have done a great job. Came out the same day I called. Some employees were there the following day to clean and get rid of damaged items. When they came back to pick up equipment. They were early. Love that. They have kept me updated on the status of my claim. I would recommend them. They will also restore my home back to its useful state.

We had an issue with our shower on the second floor and needed immediate attention. CWF was amazingly helpful, courteous and prompt. They assessed the situation quickly and took action just as fast. James Coleman, our project manager, was a Godsend, he took control of the situation, answered all of our numerous questions and took the time to explain each and every step that they were taking to mitigate the water. From the hours he spent in our home and the multiple phone calls to keep us as up to date as possible as to how things were progressing, he is truly a top-notch professional. As for the actual equipment placement, Pedro and Alfredo were amazing as well. They spent hours working to make sure everything was safe and clean and done properly. They took care to protect my home while they were working and were kind and respectful. The communication skills for this company are to be commended!

They have come out to our home multiple times for various issues and I was really impressed by their punctuality, availability, professionalism, and competence. They recently came out because we discovered some insulation in a basement storage space that was disturbed and soiled by mice. The project manager inspected it and gave me a really fair deal to remove the insulation and clean up and sanitize the area. I can’t say enough how wonderful Chicago Water and Fire is. I was referred to them by my plumber when I had a broken shower valve that flooded water within our walls/drywall. From the receptionists who helped me, Scott who came out to see my house and the person who did our dehumidifier setup (I forgot his name but he was awesome) everyone has been lovely and amazing to work with. I loved how thorough all the staff from the person who worked on our house and the estimator/investigator Scott. The found water in places I had no idea even happened from our leaky valve. I’d recommend this company to everyone.
They do great work, the dehumidification was successful and we’re looking forward to them helping us with our drywall/restoring our walls.

My call was responded and a representative was here within 2 hours. Jesse was knowledgeable and professional. He was well mannered and pleasant. We set up a work appointment for 2 days later. The crew was cautious and provided covering for my hardwood. They were diligent and respectful. They left my home clean and did not leave any debris behind. Vacuumed and sanitized the floor too.

From the initial call to CFW to the end, I couldn't be happier with the service we received. We had a leak in our 2nd floor master shower. We knew it because the drywall on the ceiling in our kitchen underneath it started to crack. Our plumber recommended CWF and Gil, their estimator showed up within a few hours. He was great and set up an appointment for the drying equipment to be delivered early the next morning. The technicians who brought it and set it up were just as nice, careful and helpful as Gil. They stopped back 3 days later and determined that the fans needed to stay for 2 more days. This morning 2 different guys came, tested the floor, determined that the moisture was gone and took the fans away. The 5 days of noise was worth it to know that CFW had done their job! I give them 5 stars and highly recommend CFW!!

Can’t rate this enough. The very first day I moved into my apartment we found the kitchen sink overflowing with black liquid all over the apartment. It was an incredibly stressful day that was put it ease by Dave who came and inspected the situation that night. He is not only good at his job but his customer service was excellent. The cleaning crew came the next day and set up and finished in under 40 minutes. Cannot thank this crew enough for saving the day!!

We had a toilet ring leak which ruined 3 floors of our house. Company came and cleaned up the water leak quickly and promptly...although there was still a bit of residual leak, they took care of it. Peter, our manager on the restoration side of things laid out our options very nicely from the beginning, and had great communication with us throughout the process. Restoration guys Casey M and Tony R came to upgrade our bathroom and do drywall and painting work. They arrived promptly and on time every day and cleaned up thoroughly every evening. They finished on time exactly as planned as well. Tony R did the dining room drywall and paint and it looks SOLID like there never was a hole at all! And Casey M worked on the bathroom upstairs which looks incredible as well. They even moved our heavy new vanity up our stairs (which wasn't easy and took extra hands on deck, including our project manager as well as another guy…and they got it done!). We were very thankful they were willing to put that in! Everything looks amazing and we are thankful to have worked with this company.
